Kibera is located in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Kenya is located on the Eastern side of Africa. The country is situated right on top of the Equator, around 0 degrees latitude. It is one of the three countries that borders Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa, along with Tanzania and Uganda.

Nairobi is located away from the coastline, inland in the south of Kenya. The city along with it’s surrounding area makes up the Nairobi City County. The City is the largest in Kenya. The Kibera Slum is situated five miles south of the Nairobi City Centre. It is the largest slum in Africa and the third largest in the world!
